I started sharing “Vitamin J every day” in August 2021, but it’s been limited to my personal network on Instagram and Facebook. My oldest son and I were spit-balling one night about things that he would be interested in doing, and he mentioned taking my words public. So here we are, a Navy veteran about to retire from 20 years of service, and a 13 year old Navy brat about to enjoy some stability in his life. We’ll share our testimonies with the world in hopes that we can help bring people to Christ by sharing our passion for him, and how he has worked wonders in our lives. The Bible we will reference is “Every Man’s Bible,” New Living Translation published by Tyndale House Publishers, Inc. I bought mine on Amazon, but I’m sure you can get one anywhere. I truly love this Bible because it has notes/”conversations” at the bottom of the pages that elaborate on the verses and how they apply to our lives, and I will quote them from time to time. This came in real handy on my last deployment. I wasn’t allowed to have a cell phone at my desk during my 8-12 hour shifts, so the Bible app was out. In came real pages with real words, words I could underline and write notes beside (Like old people do!..I guess I am old now). Having gone back and forth a couple times between digital and paper, I think I’ll stick with the real thing from now on. I hope you find encouragement in our testimonies as we share scripture, and share the experiences that shaped our thoughts and strengthened our love of Christ.
